Slideshows

Slideshows are sequences of slides displayed on large screens or TVs — typically in a call center or sales floor. Each slide shows for a configurable duration before advancing to the next. Admins create and manage slideshows from the Slideshows page under Gamification in the admin.

Managing slideshows

  • Name — identifies the slideshow in the admin
  • Active — inactive slideshows are not shown on any display

Duplicate: The duplicate action (copy icon) creates an exact copy of the slideshow including all its slides. Useful when you need a genuinely different layout or slide set per team — not just different data, since slides can already adapt to whichever team is viewing them (see The active team).

The active team

Many slides can be configured to show data for "the team currently viewing" the slideshow — for example, showing that team's agents on a score list, or that team's goals on a goal slide. This means a single slideshow can serve multiple teams without duplication: each team sees their own data.

Which team is considered "active" depends on who or what is opening the slideshow:

  • Logged-in users — the active team is the user's own team
  • Display links — when a display link is generated for a specific team (see Showing a slideshow on a TV), that team is the active team for the entire session

Slides configured to show "all agents" or "all teams" are not affected by the active team. Competition slides always show all participants of the competition, regardless of which team is active.

Team visibility

By default, a slideshow is visible to all teams. Toggle Restrict to specific teams to limit which teams can access it.

  • Restrict to specific teams — when off, all teams see this slideshow; when on, only the selected teams see it
  • Teams — which teams this slideshow is shown to (only visible when restriction is enabled)

Slides

A slideshow contains one or more slides. Each slide is shown for its configured duration, then the next begins. Slides are added, configured, and reordered on the slideshow's edit page. Drag and drop to change the order.

Fields shared by all slides:

  • Type — selects the visual template; determines what data is shown and which configuration fields appear
  • Active — inactive slides are skipped during playback, useful for temporarily hiding a slide without removing it
  • Duration — how many seconds this slide is displayed before advancing (minimum 3, default 8)
  • Custom image — optionally upload a background image (available on most slide types)

Score lists

Score list slides rank agents by their score on a selected metric. Several visual layouts are available.

Configuration:

  • Metric — the activity metric to score agents on
  • Time range — the period over which scores are accumulated: past hour, today, this week, this month, past N days (you enter the number), this quarter, this year, all-time, or a custom date range
  • Which agents are included — agents of the active team; all agents who can see this slideshow; all agents in the system; or specific teams you select

Score table — shows all agents in a tabular layout using the columns configured at Score table columns.

Goals

Goal slides show progress towards team goals as progress bars.

Shared configuration:

  • Hide absolute scores — show only percentage progress rather than the raw values

Multiple goals — displays progress for several team goals at once.

Additional configuration:

  • Which goals do you want to show? — the goals of the active team, or the combined total across all teams
  • Specific goals — optionally select which goals to display; if none are selected, the first active goals are shown in the order you have configured

Single goal — two variants that focus the full slide on a single goal.

Additional configuration:

  • Goal — the specific goal to display

Personal goals

Personal goal slides show each individual agent's progress towards their own goals. Several visual layouts are available.

Configuration:

  • Period — current week, current month, or current quarter
  • Which agents are included — agents of the active team; all agents who can see this slideshow; all agents; or specific teams you select
  • Hide absolute scores — show only percentage progress rather than the raw values

Competition

Competition slides show the live standings or final result of a specific competition.

Slides can be added directly from the slideshow editor, or from the competition's edit page. See Adding slides to a slideshow in the competition docs for details.

Custom content

Static image — displays a full-screen image. Useful for announcements, branding, or any non-data content.

Embedded webpage — embeds any URL in an iframe, filling the full screen. You can paste a full <iframe> tag and SalesDash will extract the URL automatically.

YouTube video — plays a YouTube video on loop, always muted.

Showing a slideshow on a TV

For a permanent display — a TV or screen on the office floor — you do not want to log in with a personal SalesDash account on the device. Instead, generate a display link for that screen: a dedicated URL that opens the slideshow directly, without requiring a login.

Generate display links from the Links tab on a slideshow's edit page:

  1. Click New link and select the team this display is for
  2. Copy the generated URL and open it on the display device

The selected team becomes the active team for that display, so slides configured to show data for the active team will automatically show data for the right team. To run the same slideshow on multiple displays for different teams, create one link per team.
