An Agent represents a sales team member whose performance SalesDash tracks. The term "Agent" is the default label — it can be changed to something more fitting for your organisation (e.g. "Recruiter", "Advisor") on the Look & Feel page.
Every activity in SalesDash — a call made, a deal closed, a meeting booked — is attributed to an agent. Goals, competition rankings, and achievements are all calculated per agent. Dashboard slides and leaderboards display agent performance.
Every agent belongs to a team. Teams group agents for leaderboards and team-level goals. An agent can only be on one team at a time.
If your organisation requires agents to operate across multiple separate groupings — for example, a sales rep who works on multiple client accounts — consider using Projects instead of creating multiple teams. Projects allow the same agent to contribute to multiple distinct contexts without the constraint of a single team membership.
An agent can optionally be linked to a user account. This allows the agent to log in and see their own dashboard and personal stats. An agent without a user account can still have data tracked — they simply cannot log in themselves.
SalesDash billing is based on active agent count, not user count. An agent without a user account still counts toward your license. A user without a linked agent does not.
Agents have an active/inactive state. Inactive agents are hidden from live dashboards but their historical data is preserved. Active agent count is used for billing purposes, so deactivating an agent who has left the team will remove them from your billable count.
Create agents under Data → Agents and teams under Data → Teams in your tenant admin. After creating agents, you will need to link their external identities before data from providers will be attributed to them.
